SALTY BUSKERS CLUB

SHOW HOST

Mulletman will be Joined on stage by the unbelievably talented 'mim'

Christchurch legend and expert in leave-in hair conditioner, MulletMan has been keeping us close to doing little laughy wees since way back when double-popped collars were in.

He juggles, he unicycles and he hits you hard with his wry, dry omigod-did-he-just-say-that humour. What’s more, he comes complete with his bendy friend, circus star Mim. Together they’re a little bit stunty.

‘A well-oiled machine with perfect timing and tone.’

—Charlie Gates, Christchurch Press

Brimming with inept sophistication, extreme stunts and surprisingly polished skills for someone so weird, Vinyl delivers a glittering combo of magical trickery, self-deprecating physical comedy and badass tunes.

Brace yourself. You're in for a climax of rock-guitar anthems and a big, shouty 80s hair-rock singalong finale. Get into it. You know you want to, your pirate.

Pushing the limits beyond just plain ol' upside down, multi award-winning Reuben DotDotDot blends smooth sipping comedy with gobsmacking acrobatics that'll leave you wincing in disbelief. And wishing you'd spent more time in the gym.

This guy's all about the skill, thrill and overkill, without the spill – his quick wit, sleek style and that balancy thing he does with a drink have made him a fave of festivals and a centrepiece of stages and circuses all over the world. So spectacular. So memorable. So don't miss it.

Their comedy circus concert has made The Birdmann and Egg famous with audiences of all ages across twenty countries. It's also earned them a bundle of awards.

No surprises there. They're a pair of cleverclogs with a sound, shape and flavour all of their own. They combine original music with chaotic circus acts, creating crowd pleasers like The Sword Box of Super Transformation. Think live action cartoon comedy adventure. It's entertainment, Jim, but not as we know it.

STAND-UPS:

Taylor Ruddle

Some say this Christchurch boy is "Understated and hilarious", "Disarmingly laid back," and "A natural comic". Find out for yourself.

Tina Dudley

An American expat who turned her love telling jokes at Sunday church into stand-up comedy. Irreverent is her middle name.

Laura Bruce

She's Canadian by way of Ireland with a subtle wit that takes you by surprise. Prepare to be ambushed.

George Mulligan

Sensitive and deep thinking with a talent for poetry, his societal and political satire hits the nail on the head.

Matt Threadwell

Witty and charming, Matt dances a razor's edge between worldliness and childlike wonder.

Conor Fenelon

He's the bad boy with a heart of gold and an expert in making you laugh at things you know you really shouldn't.

Matt O'Dea

A hilarious, pertinent and surprisingly raunchy stand-up comic with his finger on the pulse of current events.

Sam Voisin

A young gun with a laid back style and a firm handle on observational comedy. Bring it on.

Drop Dee

A unique character, a lovable rogue, and a sizzling ball of energy, she's more of an experience than a human.

Philip Watson

Brutally honest, raw and endearingly unapologetic, he's the comedic version of an expressionist painter. You'll love him.

Jim Small

Smart, witty, insightful – he's an observational comedian with the knack for making you see the funny in the mundane.

Ben Kent

One of the most unique voices in Christchurch comedy, with a brilliant, light-hearted take on the world.

Bec Sandys

A New Zealand comedy scene highlight, Bec delivers brutal honesty and hilarious storytelling as only Bec can.

Andy Millar

A man of the world with the best stories about working with animals, marriage and getting older disgracefully.

Tim Muller

Scientist by day, comedian by night, and quite good at making pancakes the following morning, if you know what we mean.

Joey Deyo

Best known for his acclaimed appearance in the opening line of the Banana Boat Song. Some think he's just a dumb American. He won't rest till he's proven them right.
